Gift Card Notifications are the automated emails, SMS messages, or in-app alerts sent to buyers and recipients at various stages of the gift card lifecycle. Effective notifications keep all parties informed, build trust, and drive redemption.
Key notification types
- Purchase confirmation (to buyer): Confirms the gift card order, includes the code (or states when it will be delivered), and provides order details.
- Delivery (to recipient): The main gift card email containing the code, balance, personal message, template design, and a link to the store.
- Delivery confirmation (to buyer): Lets the purchaser know the card was successfully delivered to the recipient.
- Redemption notification (to buyer): Optional alert informing the buyer that the recipient has used their gift.
- Balance update (to recipient): Sent after each use, showing the remaining balance.
